WRAS-Approved
WRAS-Approved Washing Machines
The WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) is an important concern for any business which uses washing machines. The scheme covers the installation and usage of any appliance which uses water from the public mains supply, and it specifies that it’s a criminal offence to cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination.
Compliance with the Regulations is a must for businesses which have washing machines, including care homes, hospitals, veterinary surgeries and residential homes. An installation which has been granted WRAS approval is therefore shown to be compliant with the rules, and this approval is then accepted by all relevant water authorities.
If a business is found to be using non-compliant equipment the punishments can be severe. Notice will be served to remove all machines that aren’t approved, irrespective of their age or condition. This can prove expensive and time-consuming, and is likely to have a detrimental effect on the smooth running of the organisation.
Allsop & Francis have been supplying WRAS-approved equipment to customers in a number of commercial sectors for many years, and we have been keen to underline the importance of compliance throughout. We realise that if we supply non-compliant machines we would then be in contravention of the rules ourselves.
All of our commercial appliances are WRAS-approved, having been thoroughly tested before certification. We specialise in the supply and installation of the finest Miele and Electrolux appliances. Buying or renting from us will ensure immediate compliance with the regulations and will help you to reduce running costs via lower water, power and detergent usage.
Appliances such as the Miele PW6055 and the Electrolux Quickwash are ideal replacements for machines that have fallen foul of the Regulations or if you’re simply looking for greater efficiency.
